chapter  6
Figures of resolution: dialectic of catastrophe, the feasible possibility, overcoming the polarity
Pages 22

In this chapter we explore the argumentative ways in which resolu tions are sought, the ways in which the argument poses solutions. This is not to say that the solutions are always accepted in reality and that resolution of the arguments is achieved. Rather, as we have stressed throughout this book, environmental arguments are deeply irresolvable. But it is in the nature of the arguments that attempts at resolution are made, that solutions are proffered.
