ABSTRACT
This study reports the results of participatory research undertaken in the Central Lowveld region of Mpumalanga (formerly the Eastern Transvaal). It outlines the methods employed during the course of the research, highlights key research findings, and ends with village policy documents generated by the inhabitants of four villages in the former bantustans.
