ABSTRACT
This chapter examines key aspects of rubber consumption, looking first at major factors influencing demand and then at overall consumption patterns. lt next scrutinizes consumption of rubber in tyres, including the organizational structure of tyre firms and the nature of tyre production and trade. lt goes on 10 address consumption in general rubber goods, and finally examines rubber goods industry trends with special reference 10 north-east Asia, Eastern Europe, and developing countries.
