A method to analyse attacking moves in soccer
Formal configurations of play (e.g. Grehaigne, 1991; 1992a) may be analysed in order to find promising configurations or successful patterns of play with respect to scoring goals. When players have created a configuration which can permit a goal to be scored, they must then think in terms of exploiting it and making rapid progress toward shooting at the opponents' goal. Time is precious in soccer at such moments.
