Parmenides'greatpoem,inwhichheexpoundshisviewoftheworld, consistsofakindofprologueorintroductionandtwomainparts,usually called'theWayofTruth'and'theWayofOpinion'.Intheprologuewe learnhowParmenidesmeetsthegoddessandthatshepromisestoreveal everythingtohim:boththe'well-roundedandunshakablycertaintruth' andthe'opinionsofthemortals,whicharenottrue'(B1:29-30).
