ABSTRACT
The developmentally disabled aged are relatively difficult to assess, owing to their lowered ability to communicate and take tests. French reports that when irritability and cantankerousness surface in these elders, it is frequently indicative of the presence of clinically significant dementia superimposed on lifelong developmental disability.
