ABSTRACT
The renaissance of the Rorschach starting in the 1970s and continuing through the present has been widely noted, enjoyed, and applauded (Blatt, 1986; Sugarman, 1991; Weiner, 1983). The major factor in the rebirth of the Rorschach has rightly been attributed to Exner’s (1974, 1986) work in the development of the Comprehensive System. Yet another spur to the re-emergence of the Rorschach in the 1970s and 1980s was the intense interest in the diagnosis, understanding, and treatment of borderline psychopathology.
