ABSTRACT

While a major purpose of the present conference is to delineate necessary guidelines for programs of fering training in the clinical child area (Tuma, 1982), it is important to note that there are existing programs with established track records in training psychologists to work with children. As these pro grams differ both in terms of specific program re quirements and the context within which clinical child psychology training is offered, much can be learned from the experiences of those actively in volved in such training.
