ABSTRACT

Children with ADD (attention deficit disorder) are supposed to have attention problems as one of their main dysfunctions: They often fail to finish things started on, often do not seem to listen, are easily distracted, have problems with concentrating on tasks requiring sustained attention, have difficulty with sticking to play activities; and, they may be hyperactive (APA, 1987; for reviews see Rutter; Taylor; Shaywitz & Shaywitz; Sergeant & van der Meere, all this volume).
