chapter  6
Chez Pierre
Pages 2

CHEZ PIERRE is a very simple and very friendly little bistro run by Monsieur Pierre Nouyriget and his wife, who does the cooking. There is sawdust on the tiled floor, posters of the cathedrals of France pinned to the walls, and you sit on banquettes. There is little comfort at Chez Pierre, but it is the quality of the wine and food that counts; these are excellent and served by Pierre himself. Prices are very moderate. This is a convenient place to lunch if you have been spending the morning in the nearby Louvre. Business men from the quarter frequent Pierre's bistro: in the evening, you will see artists, writers, actors and actresses from the Theatre Francais, which is just around the corner.
