chapter  20
Chez Maitre Paul
Pages 3

This is a bright, cheerful, clean and comfortable little auberge type of bistro. The interior resembles a small country inn, with its simple panelling, chintz curtains, baskets of flowers and brightly polished copper pans. There is a tiny bar where you can drink your aperitif if you have to wait for a table: there are seven or eight tables only and these are often occupied by journalists, librarians, and doctors (from the neighbouring Ecole de Medecine) who come here to enjoy Monsieur Paul's excellent wine and food.
