La Venta
Pages 4

The rustic interior resembles one of those inns that you come across on the French and the Spanish frontier. There are rough wooden beams, and small wooden tables, benches and stools. The plates are in coloured faience and the glasses are of the tumbler type. Rows of hot red peppers, and bundles of garlic hang from the ceiling. Spanish lanterns and gourds, and fishing nets and copper pans, are affixed to the whitewashed walls. Other elements of decoration consist of pumpkins, Spanish fans, wine flasks and buH-fight posters. There are bouquets of flowers on the bar which is by the entrance. Beyond it there is an ice cradle displaying captivating fish and fruit.
