ABSTRACT

Another of those quiet little restaurants in a quiet little street, highly recommended for the excellence of its food and the careful attention given by Monsieur Paul Ocquidant, the proprietor, to your whims and fancies. It proves again that an establishment with a canopy over the pavement, a footman at the door, bright lights, and bowing and scraping do not necessarily indicate that the best of everything is to be had inside. La Coquille has the outward appearance of a simple bistro. But, inside, you will find it to be in the order of “grandes tables, petites maisons”.
