ABSTRACT
The Opposition party in Iraq, as has been shown in the preceding chapter, have consistently argued that the “independence” of Iraq under the 193o treaty is neither real nor complete. This was clearly the view of many at Geneva when the British Government’s decision to postpone full independence for Iraq was officially brought before the League of Nations.
