ABSTRACT
Before proceeding with the narrative on the experiences I have gone through, it may perhaps be in order to deal with a point in the preceding chapter which has, in all probability, not passed unnoticed by the reader. In describing President Sadat’s European tour following his visit to Washington, I made no mention of the “in camera” meetings he had with the British Prime Minister, Callaghan, Chancellor Schmidt, Chancellor Kreisky, the Leader of the Israeli Labour Party, Shimon Perez, President Ceaucescu and, finally, President Giscard d’Estaing.
