ABSTRACT
The School of Social Work has been in existence at the University since 1951, although various incarnations of the program date as far back as 1921. Accredited in 1922, it was admitted to the Association of Schools of Professional Social Work in 1925. It is a member of the Council on Social Work Education, the sole accrediting agency for college and university programs in social work in the United States.
