ABSTRACT
Drought affects each area and each human activity differently, so each of us could write a unique defi nition according to our perspective. A major challenge in drought investigation is its definition and measure ment. Many Prairie people, especially in rural areas, have been faced by water shortages that accompany droughts. It is a major concern when your well level is sinking sharply, when your crops are withering in the heat, or when your animals have no or poorquality water and diminishing feed.
