ABSTRACT

Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN) is a nongovernmental development organization registered in 1983. Its policy guidelines are formulated by a general body, comprising representatives from other voluntary agencies, academics, public sector administrators and the private commercial sector. It is financed by contributions and fees for the provision of its services to voluntary agencies and decentralized government agencies (e.g. district rural development agencies). It also receives project-specific grants from government agencies and donors, and is in the process of setting up a Corpus fund in support of its training, apprenticeship and experimentation activities.
