ABSTRACT

Sundry time charter-party clauses Bunkers clause: Clause which specifies the amount of fuel and diesel required to be on board the vessel at the time of delivery and redelivery. It also sets out the price payable by the charterer to the owner for bunkers on board on delivery, and by the owner to the charterer for bunkers remaining on board on redelivery. These prices are subject to individual agreement and may be the current price at the place concerned or a price agreed between the parties to the contract. In some charter-parties, this clause includes the specification for the fuel and a requirement that any fuel supplied by the charterers is to conform to it.
