ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the teacher behavior choices and self-evaluation. Teacher behavior choices set the tone for learning in their classrooms, for professional relationships with colleagues, and with effective communication with parents. Effective teachers are the key to all student achievement. Dr. Whitaker states that great teachers know their effectiveness in teaching and classroom management. Think back to a recent classroom instructional time. Dr. Whitaker feels that the biggest difference in more effective teachers and less effective teachers is their ability to understand how they come across to others.
