ABSTRACT

Advising has always played an important role in the learning experience of students at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Advising has assisted students in their adjustment to the

rigours of a tertiary education, has supported them in their choice of an

academic career path, and more recently supported students in their develop-

ment and progress as English language learners. This vignette is a description

of the advising program and its associated tracking tool which are being

developed at Zayed University for use on its men’s campus.
