ABSTRACT
Assessment is the judgement that is made by teachers or support staff about whether each child has learned that specific piece of knowledge wanted, or can now perform the skill that was the objective of the lesson, or shows the behaviour desired by the input (reflecting the assimilation of values and attitudes as well as self-regulating skills). The last of these is one of the most difficult to achieve and assess.
