ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at Second-Language Acquisition (SLA) based on hypotheses of how second languages are learned. Models of instruction based on behaviourism and constructivism have already been briefly mentioned and in this chapter more background is given before defining their role in the design of computer-based learning materials.
