ABSTRACT
European philosophy and American architecture, and
refers to a rejecting of what is viewed as ‘modernist’
philosophy, aesthetic and artistic forms.
Postmodernism is therefore a philosophical and theor-
etical position, which rejects what it views as
‘modernist’ thought. Here a distinction can be drawn
between this idea of ‘postmodernism’ and the idea of
‘postmodernity’.
