Dated ‘July, 1810’ in V&C. These lines may well be by ‘Cazire’ (Elizabeth S.) as Garnett first suggested (V&C (1898) xiv), and in any case are unlikely to be really ‘from the Italian’. Elizabeth, who was then sixteen, died unmarried in 1831.
