Dated ‘August, 1810’ in V&C, which was with the printers by the 11th, so presumably written 1–10 August. This poem forms a pair with No. 24 on the conventional themes of Sorrow and Hope, though they may be connected with the visit made by Harriet Grove to Field Place from 16–18 August.
