Design of General Lighting Schemes
This chapter covers the normal design processes for establishing a satisfactory illuminance on the working plane, provided in a glare-controlled manner. The overall pattern of room illuminances is considered in relation to suggestions contained in the CIBSE 1994 Lighting Code. Finally, the requirements for emergency lighting are outlined. The chapter contains a limited amount of photometric data, sufficient to indicate how the data are used, but many manufacturers will usually provide full data for their range of luminaires.
