ABSTRACT
Soil is a narrower concept than terrain, because it does not include the deeper underlying materials or the surface form. Soil survey is the preliminary stage to the evaluation of the economic qualities and limitations of land which determine its uses. It is based on determination of the spatial distribution of soil profiles.
