Adjective compounds

The final element of an adjective compound may be a form ending in -ing: life-threatening, suspicious-looking (7.2) or -ed: male-dominated, security-coded (7.3). It may be a derived adjective with another suffix: cycle-friendly, or a non-derived adjective: street-wise (7.4). Non-heads are nouns, adjectives and occasionally adverbs.
