ABSTRACT
Trusses can be many different shapes and sizes, but generally they can be divided into either triangular forms which are ideally suited for roofs as shown in Fig. 4.1, or truss types that are really an extension of a beam to carry loads using less material but with the disadvantage of a deeper section (Fig. 4.2).
