ABSTRACT
The story of Africa during the past 90 years or so, the story of modern Africa, is one of difficult survival in the face of mortal dangers, and of stubborn struggle for peace and progress. As these chapters have shown, mighty storms have struck at the black continent and driven it through a time of tremendous change. This time of change has probed every aspect of life with revolutionary impact, and creativeness unknown to any earlier time.
