ABSTRACT
In this final chapter I want to offer a reading o f some very different Shakespearean plays. It is not meant to be a comprehensive reading (how could it be?) but an indication o f how far some o f the ideas about language and style set out earlier in this book may help to illuminate four plays which I have hitherto deliberately not referred to in very much detail. I should add that, in quotations, italics are my own.
