ABSTRACT
How can the computer be used to help heighten someone's explicit ‘awareness’ of language, in the broadest sense? What issues arise in connection with computer use for this purpose? It is the aim of this paper to review some ideas on these matters and look at just a few suggestive examples of the use of computers in this connection: in short, I hope to stimulate awareness of computer-assisted Language Awareness tasks.
