ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book study of local history is important because of people's need to feel connected, to feel the roots in a collective enterprise of living, to share an origin and to use common reference points. Local history is a way of finding connection, not only with genetic family, but also with a social group, certain environs, the facts and the myths lay claim to. It can be the vehicle for rejoining with the descendants of emigrants in distant countries. The good sound business reasons for interested in local history. It class three categories of person: the teacher, whose role expositor, who is often a facilitator of the learning of others, and two sorts of class members. It is important to understand many natives, especially, get into local history out of a love of what see the uniqueness of the own town or village.
