This lampoon is drafted on f. 23^r rev. of Nbk 10. The text has required some rearranging. After drafting ll. 1–4 (in the numbering below) S. continued with ll. 7–9; he then wrote the present ll. 5–6 apparently to follow on from l. 4 and marked the text accordingly: see note to ll. 5–6. It is possible that on revision he might have placed the present ll. 7–9 first, as they seem to state a general situation of which ll. 1–4 furnish a particular instance, but the order of the lines given below seems preferable on the MS evidence.
