ABSTRACT

This chapter takes a last look at the challenges facing you when you embark on an academic programme. In some ways it repeats and expands upon some of the ideas contained in the previous chapters, to serve as a quick reminder and reference. The chapter also considers some techniques to raise performance and confidence that may be helpful to you. In all, it hopes to offer more support for the 3Rs – reflection, reassurance and relaxation. The chapter opens by considering the way tutors mark work and the academically important area of critical reflection.
