ABSTRACT

The term ‘courtship disorders’ was originally used by Freund, Scher and Hucker (1983, 1984) as a collective label for voyeurism, exhibitionism, obscene calls, toucheurism and rape. These sexual behaviours are frequently associated in clinical reports (Freud in Jones 1953; Macdonald, 1973; Rickles, 1950) and Freund et al. suggested that the behaviours have a common underlying aetiology.
