ABSTRACT

You have accomplished quite a bit so far, but conducting informal classroom observations is not enough. The process is not complete without some type of follow-up discussion to the classroom observation, and this time-consuming meeting is why it is important for the principal to develop a manageable schedule of informal classroom observations. It is better to conduct fewer observations each week that include following up with the teacher than to conduct numerous observations without follow-up discussions. This chapter explores the follow-up process, feedback, and reflection with tips about the next steps that principals can take to enhance their efforts.
