ABSTRACT

The obvious answer to all three questions is “No-absolutely not!” So let’s review: You didn’t know last night exactly what was going to happen to you today, you were not born with this information, and you did not rehearse it during the day. Nevertheless, you can list these events from memory. How is that possible? You learned it-naturally. This is but one of the many things that you learned today without exerting any conscious mental effort whatsoever. Because the details of today’s events are probably unimportant, you will soon forget them; however, at this point in time, you have pretty good recall for today’s activities. So we will call this type of learning nonpermanent.
