ABSTRACT
Listening is a complex skill that involves knowledge of vocabulary, grammar (i.e., verb endings), and culture (i.e., formal and informal situations), and an ability to put what is heard into context and react to it. Training students to listen is one of the harder things foreign language teachers do.
