ABSTRACT

This chapter provides effective strategies that will help you improve your teaching and foster the learning of all students. Keep in mind, however, that your teaching is only one element of dynamic learning. As noted throughout this work, other factors influence learning, such as the school culture, the classroom climate, and the curriculum. This chapter first examines general models that have been shown to be effective. It then notes specific strategies that work with students with disabilities. The chapter also explains a decision-making process and closes by deriving the standards for instruction from the previous analyses.
