ABSTRACT

What you have witnessed in this book is one (fictitious) elementary school working toward school improvement using a school portfolio that documents their progress in becoming a continuously improving school. While the authors showed how this process works with an elementary school, it can be used with any school or district, and at any grade level. The school portfolio works equally well in urban, suburban, low income, wealthy, small, and large schools and districts. It also works with programs and projects, although we prefer to take a comprehensive look at the entire learning organization.
