ABSTRACT

In everyday life, we must make choices. Decisions might be made on the spur of the moment or they may require more thought. However, in either case, you have to justify your actions. Perhaps justification is needed only for yourself, or maybe it is necessary for others that are closely affected by your choices. At the highest level, the work that we complete requires us to provide a rationale for our thought process. This is certainly true for most job-related decisions and is especially true for jobs that require innovation and creativity. For those of you reading this, you are probably already thinking about your lesson plans or curriculums that you have developed. Whether you had to justify your work to your administrative team or a new curriculum had to be approved by the school board, you probably already have a foundational understanding in regard to the Authentic Learning Experience element of justification.
