ABSTRACT

No matter how well you have designed your Authentic Learning Experience based on the preceding three requirements, I can guarantee you will still have students who aren’t engaged. However, while I could never purport that the full use of the design principles of Authentic Learning Experiences will engage every single student, including an outside audience will most certainly engage many more students! In fact, from my experience, I have been able to target nearly every student involved in my Authentic Learning Experiences. This includes my students who are gifted, have IEPs, are ELLs, and everyone in between. Simply having the knowledge that the final product will be placed on community public display, completed for expert review, or performed for a group of expert individuals has a powerful impact!
