ABSTRACT

Although differentiated instruction (DI) usually tends toward performance tasks and process learning, traditional tests are an important part of learning in secondary schools, and test-taking differentiation must be addressed. Technology offers students several means for effective study, and it offers teachers ways to differentiate fact-based tests without sacrificing standardized content. The first part of this chapter shows how to help your students study by using technology. The second part shows how to use traditional tests diagnostically, and then how to differentiate test questions by managing a question bank.
