Summary
Average students are the easiest to assess because most of them read at grade level and should respond to grade-level texts and activities. They should also have social skills that allow them to work in groups so that they might enjoy the learning process. Although they might be easier to assess, the teacher should still keep in mind that within the label, “regular,” there is great variety of readiness, interests, and learning styles.
