ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts of this book. The book talks about practical ways to create a classroom environment in which teaching, learning, and assessment come together to form a seamless whole. It deals with raising achievement. The book describes about improving the social/moral fabric of classroom life. Reflective practice has the power to change the way to the students act, think, and feel about school life. Reflective practice means not just doing things, covering the curriculum, carrying out assignments, and preparing for tests; it means digging beneath the surface to un-earth questions of purpose, meaning, value, and belonging. Reflective practice is about caring, collaboration, integration, affiliation, and truth in teaching and learning. It is about creating a community where all the citizens feel empowered and needed. Each reflective assessment activity is in its own way designed to help to the students step back from whatever it is that one is doing and reflect on the experience.
