One of the more difficult tasks for teachers who are just starting to use an interactive whiteboard is figuring out how to use it. At first teachers tend to transfer what they have always done to the interactive whiteboard because they are not sure how else to use it. That is one reason why many of the whiteboard lessons you find online look like worksheets. While there is value in doing exercises from a worksheet on an interactive whiteboard to model, practice, discuss work, etc., that should not be the only way the board is utilized.
