Like many schools across our nation, overt bullying does not appear to be much of a problem at our school. Occasionally, we receive a complaint that one of our students is bullying another. However, official incidents of bullying are few and far between and rarely documented as such. Nevertheless, subtle examples of bullying occur more frequently, even though they may-at first glance-not appear to be incidents of bullying at all. Left unnoticed or unchecked, such seemingly minor situations can erupt into full-scale conflicts with far-reaching effects.
