ABSTRACT
For this week’s Friday Focus, one of our most respected teacher leaders wrote on a topic that is near and dear to her heart and that had been a professional development training focus at our school prior to my arrival. The topic of her Friday Focus dovetailed nicely with the previous week’s, in which I shared some strategies for effective teaching as I continued my extended classroom observations. This writing also addresses key elements ofteaching and learning and serves as a powerful reminder of concepts most of the teachers had learned in earlier training sessions.
